Do you take reservations?

Yes, we encourage reservations, especially on weekdays or for larger groups. You can book your table on OpenTable by choosing your date, time, and party size. Walk-ins are also welcome when we have space.

Do you have a Happy Hour?

Yes, we have Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 4pm to 6pm. Enjoy special prices on cocktails, $6 draft beers, P.I. Sliders, wings, and other great gameday snacks.

What are your hours of operation?

We are open every day from 4pm to 11pm. Our hours may change for private events or holidays.

What is the atmosphere like?

Public Interest is a modern American brasserie where Washington's movers, makers, and visitors gather over exceptional food and thoughtful hospitality. Warm brass finishes, rich wood textures, and intimate lighting create an atmosphere that is polished yet inviting—equally suited for morning meetings, celebratory dinners, and evening cocktails.

When is the best time to visit?

Some of the best times to visit are during Happy Hour or on weekday evenings as the sun sets after a busy DC workday.

Is there a dress code?

Yes, we ask our guests to dress in modern casual style to match the look and feel of our space.

Do you have to be 21+ to enter?

We welcome everyone, from local workers to guests staying at the Tempo by Hilton Hotel. Guests under 21 are asked to sit at a table with a parent or legal guardian, not at the bar.

What types of events can I host at Public Interest?

We do it all, from high profile corporate gatherings, to relaxed post work happy hour groups, we like to think we have something for everyone. 120 max capacity.
